This is either the world’s unluckiest klutz, or a viral advertisement for the new The Pink Panther movie. This was definitely a Clouseau move.

Part of upgrading my blog to Wordpress 2.0 involved a somber and reasoned reconsideration of the plugins I have installed, and a hunt for exactly the right plugin to accomplish various actions. For a while, I’ve used “Jerome’s Tags” to manage keyword tagging on the site, but I’ve just discovered Ultimate Tag Warrior, a brilliant tag management plugin.
One of the things UTW offers is tag-cloud display. I’ve made a tag cloud page that also includes a weighted tag bar. It’s a neat new way to navigate just over a years’ worth of archival blog posts.
Marcy's Fancy Handmade Travel Purse. She's considering selling these. She also makes them with pictures of vintage pin-up girls.

Kale Co. Auto is your source for Knudson valves, 710 caps, blinker fluid, and all other hard-to-find automotive accessories. I don’t see any squeebo rotators there, though…

…of the Wordpress 2.0 upgrade was my very nice hand-hacked script to nicely parse Sprint’s photo email from my phone.
For the time being, I’m moblogging through Flickr.com, which works okay, except that EVERY moblog post will be titled “A Picture Share!”. That’s what Sprint puts in the subject line of the email, and there’s nothing Flickr can do about it.
I’m out of town for the weekend, but when I’m back I’ll go to work on fixing my SprintPhoto script. In the meantime, if I see anything worth moblogging in Dallas this weekend, you know what post title to look for!
This is to proudly inform you that you’re now reading a post on a Wordpress 2.0 blog. Go me.
I also seized the opportunity to update my template. I was using a template that broke pretty badly in IE. I decided that as a self-righteous Firefox user, I wasn’t going to fix it and those lousy IE users could just take a hike (that and, I was nervous about getting too deep into code I didn’t write). So I found a pretty black template. The header images remind me of my new small-city downtown home, and the black background just looks kewl.

This is very impressive!
A flash application lets you tap the rhythm of any song on your space bar, then comes back with the name of the song you just tapped.
It totally nailed both of my tries (”Smoke on the Water” and Sinatra’s slinky rendering of “Fly me to the Moon”). Give it a shot!
