Speaking of the new camera (one of these), we’ve never been able to get a decent picture of the Cooper dog before. Black dogs are hard to photograph, what with the shadows getting swallowed up it the fur and all. This is probably the best picture Cooper has ever taken, and it really captures her personality! She has a sort of friendly nobility that you can kind of get from this picture.

Ladies and gentelmen, I’d like to introduce you to my newest Blog Endeavor: FriendlyAndMedenhall.com.
Here’s the short version of the story: I live on a fairly busy intersection in the lovely downtown of a lovely small Southern city which for liability purposes will remain nameless. There’s an accident outside my house roughly once every month or so. Until now, I’ve been a casual observer (and occasional 911-caller) of these accidents. But now that I own a 12x zoom camera, I have begun documenting them and posting them on my new blog.
There’s this phenomenon called “local blogging”–people blogging about their city or town or even neighborhood or street. This promises to be the most intensely LOCAL blog on the internet–documenting the doings of a 500 square foot patch of asphalt.
It probably won’t be very frequently updated (who can guess when the next accident will happen), and I’ll try not to get too ghoulish about it. The rss feed is here, which is probably the best way to keep up with it.
